I don’t believe..

I don’t believe I told you all, my readers, about my wedding last November.

On the Thursday night before the wedding I had my hens night, positively the most fun my girls and I have ever had.  If I could have it over again I would every week.  We stayed in the Casino on the Gold Coast, drank, sang, bitched about girlie things, I got dressed up as bride to be and we marched to Maccas for a nice late night feed, scaring onlookers as we went with our novelty straws and loud chatter.  The theme was goddess and I went as Aphrodite, the Kylie Minogue version.  I love all my girls so much for giving me such a fabulous evening.  And to have us all together as some of them came from over seas was a blessing.

The wedding was perfect, full of laughter, no panic attacks or worries, even had it’s share of problems which I thought were so funny like when a handful of chairs ave out at the reception and when the eski sprung a leak and water went everywhere.  It all went just as I had wanted. got to see my most loved family, friends and even got to see friends from interstate whom I had not seen in over fifteen years.

As much as I had wanted a princess wedding, our home made one was more fun nd gave us the best memories to hold in our hearts forever.

DeviantArt Meets

I run a large art social group called #Brisburnians with the help of some close friends.  The group has it’s main web presence on a website called DeviantArt but also has links on Facebook and other social media networks through members.

It has been running for over 2 years now and have held events all over Brisbane city with various themes such as photography walks, barbeques, parties in the park, teddy bear picnic, evening at the pub or restaurant etc.  We usually try to hold an event for every major holiday in the year and a few in-between events to fill the gaps.

#Brisburnians is a not for profit, volunteer run group so sometimes we take breaks due to outside commitments and life in general but they can be few and far between and I can guarantee we’ll always be back, bigger and better.

Our biggest event is our annual Christmas Party.  Held usually a week or two before Christmas, open to anyone, not just members of the group.  It is a great way to meet new people as members whom don’t usually attend meets during the year always try to make it for Christmas and many younger members bring their families ad siblings too.  Fun, Games, Food and Festivites!

Weather you are a young picasso in the making, a social photographer or just enjoy art and being social, feel free to come along and join in!  Check out the website for more details.
