Something New

Am working on a project for a small new business, cannot release any details until I have completed the job but then I will be able to share with you all the gentleman and the service he will offer that can change your outlook on life forever!

I now have the contact form working and a little price list on there too.  I will expand on that list as time goes by but for the time being I think it is suitable.  Any requests or questions are welcome, just fill in the cool form on the Prices / Quotes page.

I don’t believe..

I don’t believe I told you all, my readers, about my wedding last November.

On the Thursday night before the wedding I had my hens night, positively the most fun my girls and I have ever had.  If I could have it over again I would every week.  We stayed in the Casino on the Gold Coast, drank, sang, bitched about girlie things, I got dressed up as bride to be and we marched to Maccas for a nice late night feed, scaring onlookers as we went with our novelty straws and loud chatter.  The theme was goddess and I went as Aphrodite, the Kylie Minogue version.  I love all my girls so much for giving me such a fabulous evening.  And to have us all together as some of them came from over seas was a blessing.

The wedding was perfect, full of laughter, no panic attacks or worries, even had it’s share of problems which I thought were so funny like when a handful of chairs ave out at the reception and when the eski sprung a leak and water went everywhere.  It all went just as I had wanted. got to see my most loved family, friends and even got to see friends from interstate whom I had not seen in over fifteen years.

As much as I had wanted a princess wedding, our home made one was more fun nd gave us the best memories to hold in our hearts forever.

February Musings

We are  now into the second month of 2012 and it is so much better than the first.  January for myself and many people I hold close to my heart was a rocky month.  That is now in the past tho, we are now travelling through February like a freight train so here’s hoping to things settling nicely for all.

So, on my way to work I did a little statistical surveying.  Over half of the travellers on the train wear headphones.  What ever happened to having a casual chat with the stranger beside you, or even saying sorry when you accidentally hit someone with the edge of your bag.  Now people hide behind their musical earpieces like a  child under their bed during a storm.  It is almost as if we are using them to avoid social situations.  No wonder teenagers and children have no clue nor grasp on how to act socially and acceptably in public, they are all withdrawing in their world and are not seeing, hearing and learning through example.

Our household is on a but of a job finding bender at the moment.  One is without work and the other (me) after something close\r to home.  We are both experienced and very good at what we do.  In theory we should be snatched up quickly and easily by any employee but it so happens that the opposite has happened.  The household would have applied for over fifty jobs in January and only a small handful actually replied.  All were negatives.  Even a company whom I worked for previously before rejected me before interviewing me.  I know the govt like to say how there are heaps of jobs out there now and the numbers of jobless are going down but seriously… where’s the proof of that.  I’ve been looking and applying for similar work closer to home and as a 28 year old I have gotten NOWHERE.  I got this job through a friend as it was a year and  a half ago.  So unless you are 16 with 8 years exp and a degree under your belt you are screwed.

And yes I know I said 16… i meant it too.

Closing on a bit of a random note, I’m going through a Blink182 phase.

January Update

It has been a little while since my last update.  Have been spending an embarrassing amount of time on our server on Minecraft, playing World of Warcraft and working.

The Minecraft server has come a long way in the short period of time it has been running.  I have a few properties to my name along with a handful of friends and my husband with their creations.  At the moment I am spending my time online digging for ores in the middle of nowhere or filling the medical clinic with emergency food.  Am considering building a series of pyramids in one of the many desert biomes we have surrounding our villages.

Australia day was last week, under normal circumstances we go out and do something active.. for instane this year we had planned on going out to a park someplace and having a nerf war with some friends.. but in reality due to the monsoonal rain I sent the day doing housework.  Just the idea of stepping out the door made my clothing soggy let along standing out in the rain.

On the topic of flooding and rain, In my opinion we should be prepared for this every year.  It used to rain as heavy as buggery every year up until the drought started.  We had that many years without rain at all people have forgotten what real rain is like and so many places have been built on since then as well that I don’t think were assessed for floods in the past at all.

Anyhow, before I start yabbering on about something else too I will go grab my lunch from the oven.  It will be interesting weather I get to eat it all, have enza on my desk at the moment, she was behaving a little odd so I am keeping an eye on her.  Actually I might put her back in the cage while I eat and will check on her later.

Have a Very NERFy Christmas and a Happy New Year

So lately we have  been getting into these NERF gun things.  In the beginning I was horrified.  I have never been a big fan of guns and have little skill in fps games.  Upon further discussion I gave it a maybe and took a Barracade gun home.

Now we own pretty much ever bigger gun NERF make in the N-Strike Series.  I own two Barricade guns, looking to buy a Maverick this afternoon sometime and plan on going all Tomb Raider on the boys.. hehe.

Currently I am watching the news, hoping to hear more about the two earthquakes from Christchurch, NZ today.  My best friend Corina lives not far from where these quakes happen in New Zealand.  Any quakes there usually leave me with panic attacks and feeling very nervous for weeks.  She always keeps us in the loop as much as she can during these scary times as she knows we worry so much about her.

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and New Year.  I work Boxing Day (YAY for double time and half pay) but am spending the day with my husband’s family on Christmas Day.

Yesterday…

Was my one month wedding anniversary.  Yes, One Month!!  It feels like the wedding was just last week.  I haven’t even sent out thankyou cards yet.  Also, tomorrow is my 28th birthday (14th December).   What am I doing for my birthday you may ask?  Well I am going out to dinner with my husband (I don’t think I will ever get tired of calling him that.. squee) to a quaint little restaurant around an hour north west of Brisbane in a place called Dayboro.  It is a small country town with just a handful of shops, a pub, a housing estate and a ton of farms all around.  Take a drive out there and visit one day.  The air is so clear and the noises are peaceful, not like cars and their horns blaring, trains constantly going back and forth, industrial noise going all hours of the day and night.  Still, happy birthday to me :)
