IMVU Advertisement was one of a collection of advertisements made for personal use in my earlier digital design days.
I really liked the concept of the old MasterCard ads on television and in print. Using this I moulded it with IMVU and the way you use credits to purchase things in the game to wear / use, similar to the way you use a MasterCard to purchase goods.
Founded in 2004, IMVU Inc. (www.imvu.com) is an avatar-based social network and virtual world where people meet and interact in 3D. IMVU has reached 40 million registered users, 6 million unique monthly visitors and a $25 million revenue run rate. The service offers a simple, yet immersive 3D environment where users can customise their avatars and rooms, and meet and interact with other people from around the world. IMVU has the world’s largest virtual goods catalogue of more than 3 million items, almost all of which are created by its own users.
Big Sister Little Sister was a second year University assessment piece where we were given basic information and were to create a logo and then later a flyer for a faux event the charity organisation Lifeline were to ‘hold’.
The event was called “Big Sister Little Sister” and was to promote support through female family and friends. The logo was created with femininity in mind. The triangle dress woman was inspired by one of the most widely recognisable logos…the ladies bathroom logo. Pink and purple are stereotypically feminine colours and as that is what the logo represents, it was thaught appropriate to use them.
About Lifeline.

One2One is a dance club (now called ‘Tiffanys’) run by a young woman that I frequent when on SecondLife. For a while I worked in world as a photographer and graphic designer creating logos, banners and advertisements for avatars around the world and this particular piece was my best and favourite. At the time the club had a beautiful red, white and black design, capturing the naughty adult themes that went on within the walls. Due to ever changing laws the adult entertainment club had to change slightly to conform with the new game ratings.
SecondLife (SL) is a virtual world developed by Linden Lab that launched on June 23, 2003 and is accessible via the Internet (http://secondlife.com/). A free client program called the Second Life Viewer enables its users, called Residents, to interact with each other through avatars. Residents can explore, meet other residents, socialise, participate in individual and group activities, and create and trade virtual property and services with one another and travel throughout the world.
The text XXV I had created to add into a banner for the website (http://www.guild-xxv.com/) to the World Of Warccraft (WoW) Guild I am a member of. I used sever al filters to create an almost metallic effect and also edited the type itself to match the background and basic medieval theme WoW promotes.
World of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is a massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Blizzard Entertainment (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/). It is the fourth released game set in the fantasy Warcraft universe, which was first introduced by Warcraft: Orcs & Humans in 1994.
DresK is the brainchild company of my nephew whom requested a black, red and white logo for himself one day. At the time he was thinking about writing and publishing his own book. Although the project fell through We have kept a hold of the logo in-case he does anything else in the future.
